Terrible service, especially at the rental shop with management there. Too long a story to get into, but they wasted 45 minutes arguing with me and not letting me use the deal that I bought from their website, even though everything i did was according to what they said in the fine print
They were trying to get me for something that was unwritten. Then I wrote a complaint after I got home, and nobody cared enough to answer that either. I usually try to give people the benefit of the doubt so I didn't put in a review and try to make the complaint internally, but since they don't seem to care, it shows what level of customer service they have. Considering that there are so many ski resorts around, just take your money elsewhere. I'm trying to have a good time at a ski resort, not get angry and frustrated at 8am in the morning! The ski instructors are great though and so is the skiing, so it's really too bad they can't get their act together with the staff. It would otherwise be a great place!
Best all-around value if you're coming from the Boston area and taking into account travel time, lift ticket price, and trail variety.
Wonderful for beginners. I have never snowboarder in my life but the instructor was extremely patient and wanted to make sure that we learned the basics before pushing us onto the slopes. He gave feedback after every run-what was done well, what needed improvement- and he focused on the different learning styles, seeing, doing, hearing etc. A wonderful experience with wonderful staff.
Great mountain for the whole family. Not your over-sized resort style mountain. Two great lodges for you to grab a bite and a warm drink before heading back out. Beginner slopes are perfect for that new skier/snowboarder and goose feathers is a great spot to enjoy a good brew or drink after a great day on the slopes
Ski conditions were great yesterday particularly on the trails serviced by the Sunapee Express Quad. Skyway in Sunbowl was great too - not sure why they closed that trail early as coverage was awesome. We've skied Sunapee many times and if it's possible to have good skiing conditions - they make it happen by making snow and excellent grooming. Plus, we've enjoyed some great service too - my son bent his binding on our previous trip and the rental shop fixed it at n/c on the spot and saved our ski day.
